Following check-in at the Timmerman Center, the basic cadets were transported back to the barracks area and
got their first tastes of mess hall food for dinner. They were briefed by their flight commanders and Lt. Col.
Jennings, the encampment commander, about the week's activities and expected behavior. In the evening, they moved into
their rooms and started learning about making beds -- the military way.
