Encampment basic training kicked into high gear on Saturday, as basics received plenty of experience in military-style customs, courtesies and drill. They had classes at the Timmerman Center in the afternoon about the national activities that Civil Air Patrol has to offer, as well as aerospace education. In the evening, the cadets played volleyball and watched as cadet Robin Kim was promoted to chief master sergeant. He was promoted by the encampment commandant, Maj. Jennifer Rudolph and cadet Major Zachary King (see photo). Honor flight designation for Saturday went to Alpha Flight, as photos show the white pennant being pinned to the the group's guidon.
